Change of management at Sparkasse Moosburg: Manuela Radlayers succeeds CEO Fritz Hecht.

Both executives now received ample praise.

Moosburg

- A change of management at the top of Sparkasse Moosburg has taken place almost silently for the public: Fritz Hecht, who has been a member of the board of directors since 1993 and chairman of the board since 2004, retired on August 1st.

Manuela Radspieler's successor was chosen, who has been a member of the management committee since 2015 and who can also look back on a long in-house career.

The 55-year-old would like to continue Hecht's course in the usual continuity and solidity, as it was said at a press conference on Monday in the presence of District Administrator Helmut Petz and Mayor Josef Dollinger.

From apprentice to boss

The previous boss's departure from the company was paraphrased with a play on words: "Fritz Hecht, who worked in the bank for years, can now sit on the bench and do many things that he previously had to put off the bench." He liked this quote so much that he picked it up himself for the occasion, explained Hecht with a smile on his face.

With him, an absolutely self-made man is leaving the bank: he began his training in 1972 at the Sparkasse in Dreirosenstadt.

He owes the rapid rise that followed to the former chairmen of the board, Alfred Thums and Kastulus Hagl: "You challenged and supported me," emphasized Hecht.

At the same time, he sees the essential ingredient for his recipe for success in the committed employees: "I always had an excellent team." The staff is the most important asset that is not visible in any balance sheet.

He always tried to be a good example to the workforce and to exemplify the corresponding values.

The equity development of the credit institute serves as an impressive example of Fritz Hecht's success.

Under his leadership, it has more than doubled since 2004.

With a total capital ratio of around 30 percent, the bank is today the savings bank with the highest equity capital in Bavaria.

And that although it is one of the smallest in the Free State.

On this basis, one could “efficiently fulfill the public mandate in the region” even in the sustained low interest rate, explained Hecht.

Hecht now sees Sparkasse Moosburg in the best of hands with his successor: he praised Manuela Radlayers as "a real leader who proves her quality and commitment every day".

Hecht makes no secret of his joy about the unanimous personnel decision of the Board of Directors in favor of Radspielers.

First woman at the helm

With her, a woman is taking the helm of the institute for the first time.

Radspieler was trained as a bank clerk at Sparkasse Passau, where she completed her savings bank business administration degree before she was active as marketing manager and later as division manager for private and individual customer business and as a deputy member of the board at Sparkasse Freyung-Grafenau.

Fritz Hecht met Radspielers in 2005 - and wanted to win her over to Moosburg, which he did a year later.

Hecht: “The next task was to maintain it.

I managed that too, ”he stated with satisfaction.

As Head of Sales and Deputy Member of the Board of Management, she played a key role in shaping the bank's sales direction until she moved to the Board of Management.

Even if the Sparkasse Moosburg is on a very solid foundation: "It is not the easiest time that the financial sector is facing," said Radspieler.

The market and framework conditions would mean "huge challenges", creating the bank's low interest rate situation.

“We will continue to work extremely hard on investment income.” The aim is to continue growing in the lending business and, at the same time, to increase the commission business.

In addition, you have to work on costs and develop the Sparkasse in terms of digitization.

The successor to Manuela Radlayers could also be resolved internally: Manfred Cimander is going from the deputy to the board member, at the same time Franz Beer has been appointed to the board member.

As chairman of the board of directors, District Administrator Helmut Petz, together with his deputy, Mayor Josef Dollinger, recognized not only the high sense of duty and personal commitment of Fritz Hecht in the development of the Sparkasse, but also "his expertise and his quality as a correct and cooperative superior".

Dollinger said: "Fritz Hecht's successor is in dignified hands with Manuela Radlayers as the new boss."
