Canal on Jägerstrasse should be ready by May 2021

Last winter, at the beginning of this year, the market community had trees and bushes cut down on Jägerstrasse - in preparation for the construction of the new canal, which has to be replaced here to drain the roof of the triple gymnasium.

- The Peitinger construction yard was in use for a long time.

The trees next to the football field were felled, the trunks chopped down to heat community facilities.

The new canal should also be built quickly, instead of digging, shooting through is the order of the day.

Then came Corona.

When the project could have been tackled again, there were illness-related failures in the building authority.

In the meantime, grass has grown over the matter: along the Jägerstrasse, wild bushes have recaptured their strips of nature.

But that should not hide the fact that there is now movement in the matter - with a significant delay: a year later than planned, but at least better than not at all, the canal on Jägerstrasse should now be finished at the latest: by May 2021. That's how it is agreed with the executing company.

According to Mayor Peter Ostenrieder, the work has already been awarded.
