In the strong ruling in which the Supreme Court accepted to treat the "per saltum" appeal presented by judges Pablo Bertuzzi, Leopoldo Bruglia and Germán Castelli, the magistrates who investigated Cristina Kirchner, the president of the body, Carlos Rosenkrantz, emphasized that "This intervention
is the only remedy to avoid damage to the institutions
of the Republic."
"It is undoubted that the immediate intervention of this Court is the only effective remedy to avoid both the individual damage to the rights of the actors and, mainly,
the damage to the institutions of the Republic,
" said the magistrate.
He also warned that "the decision of the case notoriously exceeds the interest of the parties and
is projected not only on the interest
of the entire universe of judges who have been transferred to date, but on the general interest in preserving the republican system of government" .
In addition, Rosenkrantz maintained that the case had an institutional gravity which he described as "unusual."
"It is undeniable then that the case has an unusual institutional gravity, since in its decision a basic institution of the republican system is compromised," he said.
