According to the first elements of the investigation communicated by the public prosecutor in La Rochelle, Clément Incerti, the young woman - who had learned a few days earlier of her state of pregnancy - was initially
"seized with nausea and pains

The situation going from bad to worse over the night, the family came into contact with the SAMU of La Rochelle on two occasions.
As the emergency medical aid service did not come, relatives would have decided to drive the young woman to the emergency room, but "
her transport proved to be incompatible with her state of health
", explains Clément Incerti.
It was finally after the third call that the emergency services intervened at the family home.
Arrived too late, they were unable to resuscitate the young woman and her death was declared at 10 am on Sunday morning.
The public prosecutor specifies that an autopsy must be carried out soon.
The investigation, entrusted to the gendarmes of the Marans Brigade (17) and of the La Rochelle Research Brigade, must focus on determining the causes and circumstances of the death.
For his part, the companion of the young woman who died filed a complaint.
