About five weeks before the US presidential election, US President Donald Trump and his Democratic opponent Joe Biden will meet tonight (Wednesday) for the first confrontation between them, which will take place in Cleveland, Ohio at 4:00 (Israel time).

This is the first of three confrontations to take place by November 3, and is expected to focus, among other things, on Trump's treatment of the corona virus, which claimed the lives of more than 200,000 Americans, and the president's urge to quickly replace Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Biden is also expected to focus on exposing the tax returns of Trump, who reportedly paid only $ 750 in income tax in 2016, the year of his first campaign.

It was further revealed that the president did not pay any tax in ten out of 15 years until 2017.

Trump called the exposure "Pike News," while Biden last night released his tax returns, according to which he passed a $ 300 tax on $ 1 million in income in 2017. Similar to Biden , The candidate for vice president on his behalf, Senator Kamala Harris, has also released her tax returns.

The national polls show that Biden is leading the race, but it is estimated that the election will finally be decided on the basis of voting in major swing states.

"Voters have decided how they feel about Trump," said a Republican strategic adviser, "but they have not yet decided what they think of Biden."

"If Biden proves tonight that he is capable of the task, it will help many undecided," he said.

White House aides said the 74-year-old Trump would aggressively attack Biden over issues related to tax and economic policies he is expected to pursue, primarily to protect himself from reports of Trump's conduct.

Biden is expected to attack Trump over how to handle the crisis, as well as his efforts to repeal the health law passed by his predecessor Barack Obama.

The confrontation will be divided into six issues, which will discuss the two candidates: the Supreme Court, the Corona epidemic, the American economy, election purity and racial and violent problems in the cities of the United States.

Trump addressed the event at a White House press conference last night, saying "I very much look forward to the confrontation."

For the former Democratic vice president, the confrontation will be a sort of re-enactment of him to the public, having attended only small events during the plague months, focusing on Trump and his performance.

He will try to avoid word of mouth and the confusion that characterized his political career, on which the Trump camp is built.

The 74-year-old president describes his 77-year-old rival as senile and a drug addict, and is expected to personally attack Biden's family, particularly his son Hunter and his business in Ukraine.
