Exhibitors and enthusiasts feared this looming decision.
Since Monday, September 29, it's official: the 26th International Heritage Fair, which was to be held from October 28 to 31 in Paris, has been canceled.
Needless to say, the Covid-19 is behind this cancellation.
With 315 exhibitors expected in the confined spaces of the Carrousel du Louvre, and in general the visit of the Minister of Culture, Stéphane Bern and Brigitte Macron, the event could have turned into a vast source of contamination.
“Ateliers d'Art de France had great hopes for this edition,
” explains Aude Tahon, president of Ateliers d'Art de France and of the show, which is considering alternative forms of valuing know-how,
“around a digital meeting of heritage stakeholders this fall
”.
In the meantime, an appointment has been made for October 28,
2021. In the same place and hopefully, the crisis is wreaking havoc among artisans, with the same number of professionals in the sector.
