It's the red alert in Montreal and Quebec.
La Belle Province, affected by a second wave of Covid-19, raised its health alert system to the highest level on Monday evening, from orange to red, for three regions, including Montreal and Quebec.
This partial re-containment will be in effect from October 1 to 28.
It affects five million out of eight Quebecers.
Prime Minister François Legault emerged from fourteen days of preventive confinement on Monday, after being in contact with the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Erin O'Toole, who is positive for the coronavirus, to address the nation.
