A crowd took to the streets of Catalonia to protest against the disqualification ratified by the Supreme Court of Spain against Quim Torra, the president of the Generalitat, who must leave his post. At least 5 people were arrested after various incidents during the protests, the Catalan Police reported. This Tuesday, Torra filed an appeal before the Constitutional Court to avoid his disqualification for the crime of disobedience during the 2019 elections. The opposition parties in Catalonia are asking for new elections to be called.
