Homs firefighters extinguished today six fires that broke out with herbs, fruit trees and forests in separate areas of Homs.
Colonel Othman Juda, commander of the Homs Fire Brigade, told SANA's correspondent that the regiment, in cooperation with the Civil Defense and the Extinguishing Agriculture, put out three fires that broke out with weeds and olive trees in the villages of Al-Weibdeh and Al-Dhahabia and the town of Shin in the western countryside of Homs.
Juda added that the regiment members put out two fires that broke out in forest trees near the village of Al-Jamiliyah and Telchnan in the eastern countryside of Homs.
In turn, Brigadier General Ghayath Aqil, Director of the Civil Defense Branch in Homs, stated that the branch's firefighters put out a fire that broke out with herbs and apple trees in the village of Al-Muqabarat in the western countryside of Homs.
Yesterday, Homs firefighters put out three forest fires in Homs countryside.
