Today, the Iraqi police arrested nine terrorists belonging to the "ISIS" organization in the Sulaymaniyah district in the northeast of the country.
Alsumaria News quoted the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasul, as saying in a statement that the Counter-Terrorism Service, in coordination with the Sulaimaniyah Anti-Terrorism Regiment, arrested nine ISIS terrorist gangs belonging to the so-called Iraq Province, the southern province.
He added that arrest warrants were issued against the detainees in accordance with the provisions of Legal Article 4 of Terrorism, as legal measures have been taken against them.
Earlier today, a unit of Iraqi forces arrested an ISIS terrorist in Kirkuk Governorate, northern Iraq.
Last Thursday, the joint Iraqi forces launched a security operation to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorists targeting the borders between Kirkuk, Salah al-Din and Diyala provinces.
