During the demonstrations in favor of the decriminalization of abortion on the Global Day of Action for Access to Abortion in Mexico City, there were clashes between a group of police and feminist protesters.
According to the city government, led by the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum, the police acted to "prevent violence and acts that violate the exercise of rights during the attention to demonstrations."
The protesters say their right to freely protest was denied and claim they were attacked by the authorities.
