The new coronavirus has once again impacted Serie A in Italy.
This time, the affected team is Genoa, which confirmed on Monday having 14 positive cases.
That figure includes both footballers from the main team, as well as members of the institution's staff.
In a statement, Genoa stated: “The Company has activated all the procedures provided for in the current protocol and informed the authorities for the related procedures.
The club will provide future updates dictated by evolution.
On Sunday, just one day before confirming these cases, Genoa faced Napoli, for the second round of Serie A. The victory was 6-0 for the Partenopean team, in part thanks to a brace by Mexican Hirving Lozano .
Napoli has not yet commented on possible infections in their team as a result of the confrontation against Genoa.
