In the Mexican state of Chihuahua, a conflict arose over the administration of water.
At least one person died in a confrontation with the authorities.
The beginning of the conflict is due to the fact that Chihuahua must contribute hundreds of thousands of liters of water to comply with a treaty with the United States of 1944. The federal government holds the state government responsible, something that the governor rejects.
Belén Zapata explains to us what is happening in that state.
