The NFL could only hold out for three weeks.
The Tennessee Titans have three players and five staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19,
the league announced Tuesday morning.
The Titans suspended face-to-face activities starting today.
For their part,
the Vikings,
who played the Titans on Sunday,
also closed their facilities.
"Both teams are working closely with the NFL and NFLPA, including our infectious disease experts, to assess close contacts, conduct additional testing, and monitor developments
," the league said in a statement.
“All decisions will be made with health and safety in mind as our primary consideration.
We will continue to share updates as more information becomes available. "
The Vikings reported that they have not received any positive
test results for their players and staff after Sunday's game.
"According to NFL protocol, we will suspend the club's in-person activities and close the TCO Performance Center immediately,
" the team said via press release.
"We will work closely with the NFL and the NFLPA
to monitor the situation, conduct additional testing, and determine when the facilities can reopen."
At the moment
, the NFL has not made any decisions regarding the Week 4 game between the Titans and the Pittsburgh Steelers
, ESPN said.
According to reports,
the Titans will not be able to return to their facilities until Saturday.
