This construction failure is a case for the fasting sermon: The Wartenberg building, planning and environmental committee smiled at a failure that was years ago, but is now having consequences.
Lanterns were set up along Thenner Strasse and, for whatever reason, trees were planted in front of it in at least one place.
Consequence: The lantern now illuminates the tree, but not the street.

- When Mayor Christian Pröbst showed the pictures, some of them couldn't help but laugh.
The witty advice was triggered by a letter from Michael Gruber (SPD), who had noticed that the green space plan for the building area has still not been implemented.
The green strip along the road should actually be planted with trees.
But then even more street lamps would have grown over and the pipes buried there endangered.
The established trees were eliminated, and architect Franz Pezold had to smile too. His proposed solution was well received: a flower strip.
That answered another question as well.
Not only do hedges have to be cut, they can also pose a danger to children if drivers don't have a chance to see them in time.
On the other hand, Pezold saw the maintenance effort for the flower strips as limited, which had to be mowed twice a year.
However, this carries the risk that there are times when the entire area looks neglected.
The committee took this risk, however, and the flower strip met with unanimous approval.
