Following a confrontation held tonight (Wednesday) in the Knesset plenum between MK Miki Zohar of the Likud and MK Radir Kamal smells of Mish Atid, the plenum proposal to amend the "Great Corona Law" has not yet been approved, today a request was submitted to remove Zohar from his position as deputy speaker.

At the center of the controversy was the issue of demonstrations, since the law that was approved actually authorizes the government to restrict a person from leaving the demonstration up to a thousand meters from his place of residence during a closure.

MK Orna Barbibai Mish Atid today addressed a letter to the Speaker of the Knesset, MK Yariv Levin, demanding the removal of MK Miki Zohar from his position as Deputy Speaker of the Knesset.

In a letter she sent to Barbibai, noting that at night Zohar chaired the Knesset plenary session that discussed amendments to the Great Corona Law.

According to her, "his conduct was blatant, abusive and inconsistent with his duty to be a state official and to respect the rules that are customary as deputy speaker of the Knesset."

"Unfortunately," she wrote in the letter, adding:

When we protested his conduct, he called on us to order and removed from the plenum three MKs of Yesh Atid and I among them. It is clear that MK Zohar's motives are irrelevant and they stem solely from political considerations that have no place.

MK Zohar harms the dignity of the Knesset, being a symbol of state rule, and therefore he cannot continue in his representative position as Deputy Speaker of the Knesset.

As mentioned, the confrontation between Zohar and MK Kamal Smell began after he remarked to her at the end of her speech that she was "one of the most repulsive and disgusting I have heard in the Knesset of Israel." Kamal Smell replied, "Do you think it respects your status?

Aren't you ashamed? "Zohar replied to her," Saying outrageous words that I was not prepared for my son to hear me speak like that. "Kamal smells commented," The day I need someone like Mickey Makhlouf Zohar to give me grades, it will not happen to me.

My darling, you got confused. "

Mariach, who dedicated her speech to her young son, said that as his mother she was "on guard" because she feared "we would get used to gagging, restricting liberties, curfew days, checkpoints, closure and corrupt leadership."

"It's dangerous from the corona," she said.

She turned to Zohar and told him that "they have always said that Israel should normalize relations and integrate into the Middle East, here we are integrating. Rulers, dictators, dubious royal families, hedonism and gifts have become part of our lives. There is no doubt that Netanyahu is integrating into space."

It should be noted that the Speaker of the Knesset has no authority to remove the Deputy Speaker of the Knesset from office.

Only the Knesset committee can discuss a request for the removal or suspension of a deputy speaker, and the Knesset plenum must decide this.

Later, MK Mickey Zohar referred to the chain of events and said: “It is time for the people of Yesh Atid to hear the truth, and of course it is time to stop being silent about all the evil and hatred they are spreading against us.

I chose to say what is on my mind and I am sure that the majority of the public thinks so too. "
