Six rockets hit the international coalition camp in Erbil on Wednesday evening.
The camp is located near the airport of the northern Iraqi city.
As a coalition spokesman announced, the projectiles did not hit the camp directly.
Four rockets had detonated on the edge of the airport, two more did not explode.
Apparently they were fired by a militia close to Iran.
No group has yet committed to the attack.
US Forces spokesman Colonel Wayne Marotto wrote on Twitter: "There was no damage or loss. The incident is being investigated."
Most of the US armed forces are stationed in the camp of the international coalition, along with around 50 German Bundeswehr soldiers.
Because of the corona pandemic, your training mission is currently paused.
The armed forces had withdrawn into a protective bunker after an appropriate alarm.
According to Kurdish security authorities, the rockets were fired from the northern Iraqi province of Nineveh.
