The fires in southern and northern Lebanon today destroyed fruit trees and weeds and threatened homes in some areas.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that “the fire that broke out this afternoon in Hadchit town and Kharaj Blouza was controlled by the Lebanese army and civil defense teams.” Civil defense personnel and residents also put out fires in Danniyeh and Hasbaya in Western Bekaa and Koura.
