Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai is currently working to form a new party to head it.

Regardless, MK Ofer also sent a procedural and legal inquiry into the possibility of holding primaries in the near future.

In the latest political crisis a few weeks ago, around the issue of budget transfer, when the possibility of running for office now came up on the table, Huldai announced that if the government disbanded he would "jump to the national level", he said.

The crisis is over, but its intention remains.

Huldai wanted to run for office with an existing list to avoid the bureaucratic tangle, but now that he has been given more time, he is working to form a party to head it.

Establishing a party requires the formation of 100 founders and then the payment of a fee and registration.

Huldai is still in the process of recruiting the 100 founders.

In an interview with Network B, Huldai recently said that "if there were elections tomorrow morning, I would jump to the national level. What is happening in the country today terrifies me. Especially the social, economic and value problems."

He said, "I was already on a conceptual and practical pension, I already thought that was the end of it. I am afraid of what is happening in the country. It is time to do 'healing' for Israeli society. I can not stay away, but since we are not going to the elections - I have to recalculate ".

Huldai's entourage declined to comment.

MK Shelach, for his part, is still determined to lead primaries in a bad future.

On behalf of MK Ofer Shelach, it was stated: "MK Shelach has not taken any step in the direction of establishing a party.

He remains in a bad future and continues to fight for open elections for the party leadership. "
