Police announced today (Wednesday) that they have deciphered the murder of Sharifa Abu Muammar, the 30-year-old teacher from Ramla who was shot to death the day before school began.
The two suspects in the act are two young men aged 26-27, residents of the city, who were captured a few hours after the incident while trying to hide.
The prosecution is expected to file an indictment against them today for murder.
According to the suspect, the suspects ambushed a relative of Abu Muammar on the street, stabbed him, then shot at the family home and hit her in the neck with a fire.
The police investigation revealed that the background to the incident was a conflict between two families living in the Gan Hakal neighborhood in the city, where the incident took place.
A few hours later, police located the two suspects as they tried to hide in a nearby Lod city. When they tried, they tried to get rid of a gun and a cartridge, which were allegedly used for shooting

Shira Abu Muammar was shot to death the day before school opened
Sharifa Abu Muammar, a 30-year-old teacher and educator, was shot dead at the end of August in her apartment in Ramla.
She served as a social coordinator and educator at the Dror Ramla Social High School of the Dror Schools Network, and during the night, hours before the first day of the school year, she was killed in a shootout over a street brawl between clans.
She was evacuated to Assaf Harofeh Hospital in critical condition, where medical officials determined her death during the night.
The incident shocked the school where she worked and the general public.
"Our hearts are stunned and hurt by the tragic death of 11th grade firefighter Abu Muammar, who was killed last night, just hours before the start of the school year following a shooting incident at her home. That is not how we wanted to open a year."
She is survived by a husband, Muhammad, and three small children: four-year-old Araf, two-year-old Ryan, and Lian, who was born just six months ago.
"Sharifa coordinated social education and social involvement at the school, initiated a mothers' campaign on Mother's Day, joint life meetings with Jewish schools, social involvement of students in the city and more," they added.
According to the Aman Center for Combating Violence, Sharifa Abu Mamar has been the 62nd victim of murderous violence in Arab society since the beginning of the year.
Among those killed were 52 men and ten women.

Education Minister Yoav Galant also referred to the tragic event, and in a Twitter tweet wrote: "I was saddened to hear about the death of teacher Sharifa Abu Muammar, who was murdered last night in Ramla. "In general and the cases of violence within the family in particular. My condolences to the family of Sharifa."
