The Iraqi Kurdish counterterrorism accused the Hachd al-Chaabi, a coalition of pro-Iran paramilitaries integrated into the Iraqi state, on Wednesday of targeting American forces in Erbil, in Kurdistan, with rockets that fell nearby, on an Iranian Kurdish rebel headquarters.

"Six rockets were fired from the province of Nineveh (bordering that of Erbil and located in federal territory) by the Hachd al-Chaabi, targeting the international airport of Erbil"
