The government has decided to extend paternity leave, introduced in January 2002, which will be reduced from 14 to 28 days from next July.
A beneficial measure for the newborn, because it takes
"time, availability and physical and emotional proximity on the part of parents for them to build a harmonious relationship with their baby"
, defends the child psychiatrist Boris Cyrulnik.

Parents know well that the support of the child is done throughout life, in a constant effort to ensure its development.
