The Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) dismissed Quino, the creator of Mafalda, who died this Wednesday at the age of 88 with a particular tribute on the networks.

The son of Andalusians, Quino was born on July 17, 1932. At the age of 13 he entered the College of Fine Arts in Mendoza, but soon he felt "tired of drawing amphoras and plasters" and
turned his genius into comics and humor
. although in its first stage, without words.
At the age of 18, he published his first cartoon in Buenos Aires, but it was not until he was 30 that Mafalda was born from the stroke of his pencil,

With a subtle humor, charged with social criticism, the strips by Mafalda and her friends Susanita, Miguelito, Manolito, Felipe and Libertad, were published from 1964 to 1973.
