In order to stimulate cinematic work and to continue its project based on supporting creativity and creators, the General Film Organization announced the launch of two competitions to choose the best script for the long and short fictional film, as well as a workshop for writing a script.

The door to progress in these initiatives will start from next October 5, as the feature-length film competition stipulated that applicants be serious about proposing and building a close drama and that their text includes elements of attraction and excitement in addition to being marketable and expressing the identity of the Syrian society, provided that the age of the text writer does not exceed He must be 45 years old and to receive the texts before the end of August 2021.

As for the short film competition, in which the applications to participate in it will continue to be accepted until November 30, more than one text may be submitted by the concerned person or his representative through an electronic copy, three hard copies, in addition to a copy of the ID card.

At the same time, the Cinema Foundation announced the establishment of workshops to write cinematic scripts, with the aim of opening the door to those who have the talent and ability to write a script for a feature film by submitting the idea to the Foundation’s office, where it continues to accept applications until December 30 of this year.
