The defendant Zhao Jiajin (19 years old), a student, was charged with participating in an illegal assembly at the footbridge outside Citywalk in Tsuen Wan on October 1 last year.

Police Sergeant Liu Shiming confessed that on the day of the incident, he received a report on duty at the junction of Tai Ho Road and Sha Tsui Road in Tsuen Wan. During the incident, he saw three men throwing bricks and pushing horses on the flyover. However, after watching the film several times, Liu thought that the police officer was saying: "Gloves, do you have them?" Regarding why the defendant had to kneel on the ground after being surrounded by police officers, Liu said that no one ordered him to kneel, but thought the defendant might think The policeman wanted to handcuff him, so he knelt on his own.

After watching the film, Liu admitted that not only the defendant was wearing a white shirt on the bridge.

The defense continued that after the defendant was stopped by the police, he explained: "I live upstairs and I am in the wild." He did not throw any bricks or push a horse, thinking that Liu had admitted the wrong person, and Liu disagreed.

After the magistrate ruled that the evidence was established, the defendant chose not to defend himself or call witnesses. The case will be decided on October 27.
