The serious assault case that took place in Mitzpe Ramon agitated the state and led to a protest against Judge George Amorai's decision not to publish the name of the suspect, Aviad Moshe, a decision that was later overturned by the District Court.

Moshe is suspected of assaulting his wife, who shot Iscove with a rolling pin and stabbing a knife and almost brought her to her death.

Police announced today (Thursday) that Moshe will be brought in for an extension of his detention and that a prosecutor's statement against him prior to an indictment will be filed later in the day.

The police also said that the investigation against Moshe had ended.

The indictment itself will be filed in the coming days.

The police statement gave a description of the case, according to which police officers arrived at the house in Mitzpe Ramon, went inside and noticed singing lying on the floor of the house with severe signs of sabotage on it.

The officers summoned medical treatment for the woman and carried out her husband’s arrest inside the home.

Crime scene investigators (forensics) have begun collecting findings at the scene.

Shira, who was nearly murdered, who decided to publish her photos from the hospital showing the severe damage her husband caused her.

In the photos, Shira is seen with bruises all over her body, and she is still in critical condition.

She has lost 70 percent of her right eye, and is expecting a very long rehabilitation period.

During a hearing to extend Aviad's detention last Friday, Shira's relatives asked Judge George Amorai to allow the disclosure of her husband's name by virtue of the public's right to know.

Shira, who is still hospitalized, also claimed that the publication of the name would cause victims of domestic violence to "gather courage and complain."

The suspicious husband asked not to allow the publication of his name, claiming: "It's easy to ruin a 45-year career and reputation. It's not the time right now, my parents are older and I do not need this frustration. Her family's revenge instinct is something understandable. "Give me this chance."

Following the judge's failure to publish the name, a storm arose on social media, and a large number of the posts revealed Aviad's name and even published his picture, while harsh and angry criticism was leveled at him and at Judge George Amorai.

Shira herself also allowed her name to be published, with the intention of raising public awareness of violence against women, and in recent days there have been angry demonstrations by women, both on the difficult case and on the judge's decision.

As you may recall, on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, Shira asked to come to her parents' house in Carmiel for the holiday with her one-and-a-half-year-old son.

Because of this, a heated argument broke out between her and her husband, and at one point he violently hit her in the head with a rolling pin, and later stabbed her about 20 times in all parts of her body and broke all her teeth.
