Al-Hasakah Education Directorate opened 13 prefabricated classrooms in the city of Hasaka, in cooperation with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), in order to relieve pressure on the rest of the schools and reduce the number of students in one classroom after the (Qasd) militia supported by the American occupation forces seized most of the governorate's schools and closed them.
The Director of Education, Ilham Tirekhan, stated in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the governmental efforts made by the Ministry of Education, Hasakah Governorate, and the Education Directorate are all aimed at addressing the effects of the practices of the (Qasd) militia resulting from the closure of most of the government schools in the governorate and preventing students from studying there according to the Ministry’s curricula. .
Sur Khan pointed out that the opening of the new school will contribute to absorbing a number of schoolchildren that have been closed by the (Qasd) militia and relieve pressure on the existing schools, as the school has been provided with all class supplies, public facilities, and educational and teaching staff.
Teacher Hussein Al-Obaid, Director of Abdul Ahad Musa School, whose students were transferred to the new school, explained that one classroom accommodates 60 students from the first educational circle for categories (A) and (B), indicating that the new classrooms provided the right to education for hundreds of students whose schools were closed as a result of practices Militia (QSD).
It is noteworthy that the Qasd militia closed nearly 93 percent of the governorate's schools at various school levels and prevented students from receiving education, in an effort to spread ignorance and backwardness among the people of the province to serve the agendas of the American occupation.
