Venezuela confirmed today its intention to hold the legislative elections as scheduled on December 6, stressing its rejection of the European Union’s request to postpone the elections.
In a statement carried by Russia Today, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry indicated that the European Union takes a "biased stance" regarding the Venezuelan elections, calling on it to "play a constructive and respectful role in facilitating the electoral process."
And Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro earlier called on the United Nations and the European Union to send observers to these elections.
Venezuela is exposed to US attempts to interfere in its internal affairs and destabilize it by tightening economic and financial sanctions and supporting right-wing forces to revive their plans to dominate this country that has huge oil wealth and to turn against the legitimate president by using all means, including violence and chaos.
