After nine months of postponements, large-scale construction is resuming in Judea and Samaria.

The Supreme Planning Council of Judea and Samaria will convene next Sunday to approve the construction of 5,400 new housing units in the settlement.

The directive to approve the construction was given by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The hearing, which has already been postponed several times, is set for October 12.

Almost half of the new houses will be built in Beitar Illit, south of Jerusalem.

The council will approve the publication of 2,929 housing units in the ultra-Orthodox city for deposit.

In addition, the following master plans will be approved - in the locality of Ali in Benjamin, the construction of 629 new houses will be approved;

On Mount Gila, a significant expansion of 560 houses will be approved in south Jerusalem;

In addition, 286 houses will be approved for the settlement of Har Bracha in central Samaria;

120 houses in Pnei Kedem;

181 in Einav in Samaria and more.

A total of 2,467 houses in the Binyamin and Samaria regional councils, as well as 21 houses in Shima in the southern Hebron Mountains.

In addition, the discussion on the construction of 2,910 buildings in a long line of localities will be promoted.

Among other things, there will be a discussion about 370 houses in Geva Binyamin (Adam) and about 354 houses in Nili.

"No freeze"

The prime minister's entourage says his directive to approve the construction plans refutes allegations that he froze construction in Judea and Samaria.

A source close to him said: "Netanyahu is the biggest builder in Judea and Samaria.

The delays were due to understandable reasons in the context of the historic breakthroughs with the Gulf states, but now there is no longer any reason to postpone the approvals. "
