Transport Minister Miri Regev this evening (Thursday) ordered to examine the data presented by her office staff in a special discussion she held, according to which 700,000 people use public transportation on closing days - 400,000 more passengers than in the previous closure.
"This is disturbing, it means that the congestion in the transport has been created because people do not sound closed and travel unnecessarily," Regev said at the hearing.
It also ordered an increase in the number of public transport inspectors.
As part of the government's directive to close, public transport activity was reduced by almost half, with many bus lines canceled.
Many passengers have claimed that essential lines are inactive or that they arrive at stations when they are full, so they cannot be traveled.
Various organizations working to improve the transportation system in Israel, including "Transport on our way" and "15 Minutes", this week called on Sarah to hold a discussion on the issue and strengthen the lines, since many passengers are unable to get on the buses at all.
Since the closure began, congestion has been recorded on various roads across the country.
Regev asked the public to take responsibility and avoid using public transportation and leaving the house not to consume to prevent life-threatening.
"This reality is very disturbing, Israelis leave the house unnecessarily and do not obey the instructions," she said.
