In Erding there is a farce around a street musician who has clashed with the public order office.

A question of - good - taste.

Erding - Leon Kazander almost “hit” during his recent visit to the public order office in Erdingen's town hall.

After two employees from the public order office had pointed out to him "very nicely and respectfully", he wanted to get a permit to make street music on Schrannenplatz.

He had already played an hour earlier.

For ten years, the 25-year-old economics student has been singing bluesy and rock cover songs "à la Eric Clapton and Bob Dylon", as he describes his style, to accompany his guitar in downtown Erdingen.

There have never been any problems and now it is said that his singing is too bad.

Robert Buckenmaier, Head of the Public Order Office, said: “I listened for 40 minutes.

The singing is too bad, we can talk about instrumental. "Buckenmaier explains to our newspaper that this is not his own opinion, but that" two to three "complaints have been received.

"There is not always total joy when musicians play in front of your own front door", knows the town hall employee, who, however, hardly has to issue permits for street musicians.

"Every now and then in the summer there is a request from Eastern European groups, but that is rather rare." He no longer wanted to give Kazander a subsequent permit.

"That would be like if a dodger could buy a ticket afterwards when caught."

The musician asserts that he was not aware that it was an "unapproved criminal fine", as Buckenmaier put it.

At the very beginning of his street music career, he asked the town hall whether they needed a permit.

That was denied as long as he played without an amplifier.

Buckenmaier certainly believes “that the street musician did not play on purpose without the city's consent” - especially since it is free.

That's why he didn't have to pay a fine.

Kazander asserts that he “definitely wants to adhere to the given guidelines” and also admits: “I'm definitely not a professional.

Not everyone likes my music, but it's enough for street music, I'm self-confident enough. ”Especially since the hobby musician is already at the Sinnflut Festival, at the Night of the Blue Miracles, at weddings or at events such as St. Patrick's Day in the Dublin Irish Pub or performed at "Kino et Vino" in the Cineplex.

He has also been on the road as a street musician in Munich: "You even have to audition for a permit in the public order office, and I didn't fail," he points out.

Kazander, in his own words, is “furiously upset” that a diverse earth thing is made impossible and culturally dead by “precisely such arbitrary actions”.

He is also surprised “that suddenly so many people are complaining about my music.

I've been on the road for ten years and everything has always gone well ”.

People who sat in the café on Schrannenplatz would also have been surprised.

“A waiter from the vegan café Green Leaf even regretted that I packed up.

I would have spread such a good mood. ”Even the money in the suitcase did not suggest that his music would not be received.

In addition, he always changes location after an hour.

Buckenmaier assured the local newspaper that Kazander would receive a permit for the next time if he applied for it in good time, at least one day in advance.

"We are relatively generous there."

He doesn't yet know whether Kazander would like to play again in Erding.

“I have to admit, I was very disappointed right after the incident.

In the meantime the anger has subsided a little.

First of all winter is coming, in spring I will see further.

There are also other beautiful cities. "
