Sweden recorded 752 new infections with the Coronavirus during the past 24 hours, the largest daily increase since last June.
Reuters quoted the Swedish Public Health Agency as saying that no new deaths were recorded due to the virus, but the increase in daily infections is the highest since June 30, when the country recorded nearly 800 cases.
Sweden recorded a total of 5,893 deaths among patients who contracted the virus, which is a death rate several times higher than its neighbors in the Nordic countries, but it is still lower than countries such as Spain, Italy and Britain that have moved to impose general isolation measures.
