The topics of the Fraunberg municipal council meeting on Tuesday were literally on the streets: from a new name to changed speed limits and lighting.

Especially the state road 2082, the through-town Reichenkirchen, was a topic of conversation.

- In the middle of Reichenkirchen the street makes a right-angled bend, in the immediate vicinity there is the entrance from the village square, the school and the junction with the district road ED 20 from and to Grucking.

Recently, representatives from the school management and parents' council, the police and the municipal administration took part in a traffic show to get an idea of this situation.

They discovered that drivers turning in and out at the bend in the road can create dangerous situations.

Left-turning to Grucking, coming from Fraunberg, often has to stop in the middle of the bend due to oncoming traffic, causing sudden backlogs.

People leaving the village square on the state road sometimes underestimate the flow of traffic, and schoolchildren and other pedestrians also cross the street at the level of the rectory.

That is why the community has now applied for Tempo 30 from the rectory to the restaurant, i.e. for the entire area of the state road around the bend - with good chances.

Friedhelm Eugel, managing director of the administration: "The Landratsamt Erding has announced its approval for this."

Days before, police had also found that some road users who turn from ED 20 from the direction of Grucking onto the state road, interpret both the stop line and the stop sign there very liberally.

Therefore, a stop sign should now be painted on the street, as a visual reminder of the danger zone.

However, the request of a resident of Harham, who had requested a reduction to 30 km / h instead of the current speed of 60 in front of his property, was rejected.

Here the council does not see the danger of fast drivers in general local traffic.

For safety reasons, lighting will be installed at the Erdinger Straße bus stop in Tittenkofen for around 11,000 euros.

A street lighting on Bergstrasse there was put back.

The council has now also found a name for the connection between the village square and Holzstraße in Reichenkirchen: This section is now called St. Michael-Weg.
