Alessandro Triana, a Cuban soccer player in the Mexican Premier League, died over the weekend from causes that are still under investigation.
The body was found in an irrigation canal in Cuautla, Morelos, hours before starting a training session.
The authorities assure that the crime was not the product of a robbery and that the autopsy revealed that he received a blow to the head.
