When they fell on a pedestrian tunnel near Kam Pok Road on Fairview Park Avenue in Yuen Long, the 41-year-old wife of Liu, surnamed Liu, was suspected of hitting Lu Po and out of control and crashed into the back of his son's bicycle in front.
The wife fell to the ground out of balance and suffered serious head injuries. She was sober and sent to hospital for treatment.
The 12-year-old son who was travelling with him suffered minor injuries to his hands and feet. It is known that none of the family members were wearing helmets.
The police are investigating the case and blood stains can be seen on the ground.
According to statistics, the 11-kilometer cycling track connecting Yuen Long to Sheung Shui was opened for public use on September 29, which means that the 60-kilometer-long "Super Bicycle Track" connecting Tuen Mun to Ma On Shan has been completed. Calculated at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour for ordinary citizens, it will take about 6 hours to complete the cycle track version of the "Tuen Ma Line".
According to the "Safety Guidelines for Cycling" of the Transport Department, bicycles should wear safety helmets, elbow pads and knee pads.
