A new poll of voters in the US state of Georgia showed that Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is ahead of Republican President Donald Trump by two points, days after the first presidential debate on the 29th of last month, which witnessed harsh criticism and was considered a "chaotic show."

According to the American Newsweek magazine, the poll shows that 47 percent of voters support Biden compared to 45 percent for Trump, indicating Biden's superiority by two points, even though Georgia has not preferred a Democratic candidate for the presidency since 1992.

Another opinion poll conducted by Two Action News and the Landmark Communications publicity and advertising company that included 500 people from Georgia via cell phones and landlines revealed Biden's lead over Trump by a large margin, as he chose 47 percent Biden versus only 37 percent for Trump, as revealed by a CNBC poll. Change Research released yesterday that 54 percent of potential voters chose Biden while only 41 percent chose Trump.

In the same poll, 53 percent of prospective voters thought Biden had won the debate over Trump.

The Presidential Debating Committee, "CB", announced that it would implement changes to the rules for the remaining two discussions, including perhaps muting the candidate microphones or granting additional time to any candidate whose response was suspended.

The first debate between Trump and Biden was chaotic, with accusations, insults and personal attacks.

Most opinion polls indicate Biden's lead over Trump against the backdrop of discontent with Trump's policies, whether in dealing with the Corona pandemic or with regard to the protests that the United States has witnessed against racism over the past months, in addition to his reckless stances on domestic and foreign issues.
