Paris: a kosher restaurant in the 19th arrondissement ransacked

The prosecution has opened an investigation into the charge of voluntary degradation and anti-Semitic inscriptions.

This Friday, the images broadcast on Twitter of Mac Queen, a kosher restaurant ransacked and tagged with anti-Semitic messages, rue Manin (19th century), outraged.

On the night of Thursday to Friday, this fast-food restaurant which serves hamburgers in a red decor from the 1970s, located between the 19th century town hall and the Buttes-Chaumont park, had its walls and floor tagged with swastikas and anti-Semitic insults.

The furniture has been returned.

The leatherette benches were torn.

The restaurant was partially flooded.

No threats before

On Twitter, Anne Hidalgo, the mayor (PS) of Paris, “condemned with the greatest firmness this odious act of anti-Semitic vandalism.

All my support to our friends in the Jewish community.

We will not let it go ”.

Nicolas Nordman, his security assistant, also expressed all his “support for the targeted trader”.

And indicated that "the prosecution has been seized and the authors must now be prosecuted and punished".

The investigation of the head of voluntary degradation and anti-Semitic inscriptions was entrusted to the 2nd DPJ (Judicial Police District) of the Paris judicial police.
