The National League (LNR), whose president, Paul Goze, is at open war with Bernard Laporte, however sent a congratulatory statement.
Not exempt from small sentences.
“While the sporting dynamic is positive - result of the French teams and French clubs in European cups - rugby is going through an exceptional health and economic crisis due to its scale which threatens its clubs, whether they are amateurs or professionals.
The re-election of the President of the FFR is part of this vital context for the future of French rugby.
Despite recent tensions, the LNR hopes that after this electoral period, a new page will open in relations between the two institutions to deal with the serious crisis that French rugby is going through.
Solidarity and a calm dialogue must be put at the service of the search for coordinated solutions in the general interest of French rugby. ”
