The specialized scientific journal "Life Science" studied the number of infections that US President Donald Trump and his wife may have transmitted before knowing that they were infected with the emerging coronavirus.
Sputnik news agency quoted the magazine as saying in a study that the concerned authorities are working to track people who have been in contact with those infected with the Coronavirus in order to contain infections and prevent their spread, but when the infected person is the President of the United States, this list can become very large and the speed of infection spread is very large and tracking contacts are a real nightmare .
The magazine pointed out that Trump recently attended about 15 events in different US states, starting from the presidential debate for 2020 to collecting donations and gatherings over the past days, explaining that in the meantime, the virus was silently multiplying in the body of the American president.
In this regard, professor of epidemiology and biostatistics at the University of California, scientist George Rutherford explained that since Trump rarely wears a mask in public places and continues to attend events that do not follow social distancing guidelines, it is possible that he has transmitted the virus to others.
Rutherford confirmed that the US President was spreading the infection for sure, at least on Thursday the first of October when he traveled on a private fundraising campaign in the "Bedminster" resort in New Jersey, adding, "It is possible that this fundraising will turn into a widespread viral event. Noting that President Trump's interaction recently with many people, including senior government officials in America, is difficult to find all those who have mixed or communicated with, and it may be a daunting task.
Rutherford pointed out that contact tracing tools usually return for 48 hours from the onset of symptoms on a person to identify close contacts "contacts" or those who have been together for at least 15 minutes within a range of 1.8 meters.
The magazine published a long list of activities and conferences that Trump attended with many officials without wearing masks, which it considered as a big and real problem in the process of tracking infected people or contacts who may have taken the virus or are carriers of the virus or have already contracted the virus.
