A total of 30 rescue workers from the water rescue service and fire department from the surrounding locations were on duty.

According to the police, another surfer was reported when he returned from surfing on the Walchensee.

The 44-year-old surfer, who also comes from Munich, was also surfing on Walchensee despite the storm warning.

The Munich residents were well aware of the regulations, the police said.

He had therefore shown himself to be understanding.
