Minister of Environmental Protection Gila Gamliel was diagnosed as positive for the corona virus last night (Sunday), thus joining three ministers and four MKs who were infected with the virus before her.
Among the MKs who were infected in Corona, there are three ministers (Rafi Peretz, Pnina Tamano-Sheta and former minister Yaakov Litzman) and MKs Moshe Arbel, Yinon Azulai, Sami Abu Shehadeh and Gadi Yabarkan.
In addition, since the outbreak of the Corona crisis, 31 MKs who met with ministers or MKs who clung to the Corona or who met with guests who visited the Knesset or outside it were required to enter isolation.

In addition to the ministers and MKs who fell in Corona, 42 Knesset employees were also infected, including MKs' parliamentary assistants, administrative staff in various Knesset departments and several security guards in the Knesset Guard.
The Knesset officer, Joseph Griff, who heads the team dealing with the corona in the Knesset, usually informs employees through the Knesset computer in any case where it is discovered that an MK or a Knesset employee has the disease, and anyone who comes into contact with those employees is required to immediately enter isolation for two weeks. It is the only public institution that usually publishes the ministers, MKs and employees who have been infected in Corona.
Griff noted that most of those infected were not infected at all inside the Knesset, but elsewhere.
Only seven people were infected in the Knesset, thanks to the strict wearing of masks, placing partitions between the MKs and guests in the committee rooms and rooms of the Knesset staff, and creating large spaces between the ministers and MKs in the plenary hall by transferring some MKs to the guest gallery.
