A few hours after the arrival of a mission from the International Monetary Fund to the country, to begin negotiations to refinance US $ 44 billion dollars already disbursed, President Alberto Fernández assured that he
hopes that the Government can reach a program with the IMF "as soon as possible".
"I have had many conversations in this time with Kristalina Georgieva and
I have the impression that she sees better than anyone the difficulties that exist in Argentina,"
Fernández assured

, considering that an agreement with the Fund "is basically necessary to give it predictability to the economy. "
This Tuesday,
the arrival in Buenos Aires
is scheduled
for a mission
made up of the deputy director of the Western Hemisphere department, Julie Kozack;
the head of mission for Argentina, Luis Cubeddu, and the IMF's resident representative in Argentina, Trevor Alleyne.
"What I most aspire to is that we continue to work as well as up to now, that we can find quick answers to the concerns that (the members of the organization) have and that we can reach an agreement, a program as soon as possible," said the President.
Alberto Fernández believes that an understanding with the Fund is "a point of arrival" that
puts an end to "the greater uncertainty
that Argentina had" in relation to the debt with the bondholders and with the international organization.

That is why he considers that
a program with the IMF "clears up many doubts,
which I do not have but some sectors of the economy do."
On the economic outlook, Fernández believes that "it is already showing signs of improvement" despite the situation that was dragging.
"The Argentine economy was in intensive care and we also got the coronavirus. Everything was much more difficult," he said.
"We believe in an economy where the State only arbitrates when imbalances appear but we believe in an economy that moves with the impulse of businessmen.
I believe in the best capitalism,
which is capitalism that invests, produces and exports," said the president. in statements to Clarín.
Finally, the President argued that it is necessary to "understand" that "Argentina needs all the sectors united in a common work to move the economy forward" and it is not "a problem of state impositions."
