It is a republican and courageous proposal
" assures the minister.
The latter also sees it as a means of stemming separatism, the subject of Emmanuel Macron's speech on Friday, October 2.

Above all, the Minister of the Interior rejects the learning of Arabic in mosques.
To the teaching of this language, he wishes to bring a secular and republican framework.

But my cousins of North African origin only had the mosque to learn Arabic ...
”he laments.

Gérald Darmanin's position on learning the Arabic language echoes the speech of the President of the Republic on "
the fight against separatism
" delivered at Les Mureaux.
Emmanuel Macron had presented the future bill against “
Islamic separatism
” which will be submitted on December 9 to the Council of Ministers.
