While health and economic uncertainties are at their peak, Parliament is embarking this week on an eventful marathon with the examination of the 2021 crisis budget. The debates are expected to be difficult on this budget bill (PLF) which includes part of the 100 billion euro stimulus plan.
Crisis or no crisis, the file must be completed by December.
And the habits do not change on the method.
This Tuesday, the finance committee will begin to examine the first part of the budget on revenue with a view to adoption on Wednesday evening.
The text will arrive in public session the following week.
MEPs will then tackle the second part, devoted to expenditure.

But this exercise takes place in a framework that defies all budgetary rules, with public finances weighed down by the coronavirus epidemic.
