The president of the block of councilors of the Frente de Todos of the Buenos Aires town of Capitán Sarmiento,
Sebastián González
, died
in the San Carlos Hospital
of that municipality, where he had been hospitalized for a week after having infected coronavirus.
González, 41, died on Saturday night and
the authorities decreed two days of municipal mourning
.
From the commune led by Mayor Javier Iguacel, who is also suffering from the disease, they "deeply regretted the death of the councilor" and sent their condolences to families and friends, through the official Facebook account.
For his part, the mayor of Carmen de Areco, Iván Villagrán, said through Twitter:
