Ephraim Haddad, 82, of Rosh HaAyin, died in mid-August after contracting the virus.

"Dad was careful and took care of himself," says his daughter Limor Sharon, "everything they said he did. He made sure to be at home, and when he would go to the synagogue they would pray outside. During the closure he prayed in the garden of the house."

Sharon estimates that her father became infected at the hospital.

"He felt unwell and we took him to the hospital. They did a corona test and he came out negative, but there he probably contracted. He was released, and after ten days he had a fever. On the corona test he was positive. He was released home, and after three days he had a fever. "High and shortness of breath. We evacuated him by ambulance to Beilinson and immediately put him to sleep and breathed him in. After two weeks of hospitalization, he died."

The family members were not allowed to visit him during the hospitalization: "He was alone in the ward without us petting him and talking to him. This is the hardest time of my life, which I know he turned off before our eyes and we can do nothing. I would call and ask the nurses to pet him and tell him we "Love him. It was hard."

Sharon is angry at people who do not take the disease seriously.

"It's a serious illness. Dad's lungs are gone, the disease is eating away at the lungs. This illness has plagued Dad and it annoys me not to be taken seriously. One has to be guarded, stay at home and take care of the parents."
