The founding president of the Arab National Forum, the general coordinator of the gathering of popular committees and associations in Lebanon, Maan Bashour, affirmed that the October liberation war was a war of surprises for the Israeli enemy on the Syrian and Egyptian fronts and constituted a victory for the entire Arab nation.
In a statement to SANA's correspondent in Beirut, on the forty-seventh anniversary of the glorious October liberation war, Bashour said, “The war of October 6, 1973 was a war of surprises for the Israeli enemy, whether on the Syrian front, where the famous Alon Line was stormed by the intrepid Syrian Arab Army, just as the Syrian air defenses succeeded in bringing down more Of the 90 warplanes of the Israeli enemy in the Syrian airspace or on the Egyptian front, where the Bar-Lev line, fortified against nuclear bombs, was destroyed.
