Noisy-le-Sec: in the heart of the district traumatized by the fivefold murder

2020-10-05T20:05:49.189Z

In the district of Petit-Noisy where the Tamil community lives, the five-fold intrafamily murder that occurred on Saturday sows misunderstanding and fear.

“I can't believe it.

It's just… (Editor's note: “I can't believe it, it's just…”) ”.

Words fail Kalpana.

This mother who drives her two children to the Bayard school in Noisy-le-Sec (Seine-Saint-Denis), this Monday prefers to speak in English to talk about the appalling slaughter that decimated five members of two families, including four children (18 months, 5 years old, 9 years old and 11 years old) in the morning of Saturday, 300 m from here.

Two families of Tamil origin, like Kalpana.

Three days after the five-fold murder, the misunderstanding is still total.

Even the family circle cannot explain what one of them describes as "madness".

Investigators from the judicial police have not yet lifted the veil on this tragedy.

Woman and four children killed

The father killed his entire family, his wife and two children, an 18 month old baby and his 5 year old son.

Then he deleted his two nephews aged 9 and 11.

Their parents and two older brothers, 13 and 15, were beaten with hammers but survived.

The drama took place in a modest pavilion rue Emmanuel-Arago where white roses are now hung on the gate.

When the two teenagers who managed to escape sound the alarm, the police discover the carnage.

In the basement, lie two lifeless children, their parents are seriously injured.

In a locked upstairs bedroom, the suspected murderer, still alive, has stab wounds.

He was still hospitalized this Monday evening.

His wife and son were stabbed to death.

The baby would have been suffocated.

Two knives will be found at the crime scene.

“He didn't talk too much but often laughed.

"

A savagery that never ceases to question the personality of the father.

In the queue in front of the nursery school, Amanthkumar still remembers that the day before, the man who was going to kill his children and his wife with a knife, as usual, displayed "a big smile".

They would sometimes exchange a few words in Tamil.

“He didn't talk too much but often laughed.

I know him as a calm person.

But inside… ”.

Today, his son who was in the same class as one of the victims at Quatremaire school confided: “He tells me my boyfriend is dead.

His chair is there, but not him.

I miss him ".

This 38-year-old man is also devastated: "When you think about what he did to his 18-month-old daughter".

It is even more inconceivable for a friend of the family: "The day before, they had gone to the temple for a ceremony for their baby".

Noisy-le-Sec, Monday October 5.

The Cassin college lost two students in the tragedy.

The Petit-Noisy district is particularly damaged.

In a perimeter as large as a pocket handkerchief, two schools, the René-Cassin college and the basketball club mourn children.

Directly above the A86 viaduct, around thirty families from Sri Lanka, originally from the Jaffna region in the north of the country, fled the war and settled in small brick pavilions.

"It's like a village," explains Mayor Olivier Sarrabeyrouse in front of the Bayard nursery school where one of the victims was educated.

Opposite, the Quatremaire primary school also welcomed another child in CE2.

The mayor knew the two families very well.

He had been the teacher of one of the missing children and has a very precise memory of the father.

"I don't understand […], the community doesn't understand"

“I don't understand what could have happened.

The community does not understand.

He adored his son.

He came to pick him up from school with another of his children on his shoulders.

".

The former school teacher describes a model family, like many members of the Tamil community.

“Parents have a strong desire for success for their children.

They were also very involved in school life and regularly attended meetings.

All these children were brilliant ”, specifies the mayor.

Next door, in the Jean-François Visinoni gymnasium, where basketball training takes place, President Timothée Gauthierot could not hold back his tears when he learned of the tragedy.

Four children are licensed to BBAN (Basket-Ball association noiséenne).

He too has lost a promising element who was only 11 years old.

“He was talented.

He was still in training last Thursday, "slips Thimothé Gauthierot who is full of praise for this small team:" They were very serious, very polite and really very endearing.

They all came to lend a hand on weekends.

They embody the very family team spirit of our club.

".

The national education dispatched psychologists to deal with the trauma.

"In the large section where one of the victims was educated, the children drew a lot, but nothing morbid," says Olivier Sarrabeyrouse.

Monday evening the Bobigny prosecutor's office specified that "the state of health of adults (injured) is still worrying".
