The Minister of Environmental Protection, Gila Gamliel, violated the closure guidelines of the Ministry of Health during Yom Kippur, Haaretz reported today.

According to the report, Gamliel, who announced on Saturday night that she was infected with the corona virus, stayed with her husband's family in Tiberias during the holiday, and even prayed there in the synagogue.

This is despite the fact that she lives in Tel Aviv, and the restrictions of the strict closure according to which the public is required to remain within one kilometer of the place of residence, also for the purposes of prayer in synagogues.

In addition, she reportedly tried to evade the Ministry of Health's epidemiological investigation and told investigators she was infected by her driver.

Only after it became clear that her family members, who were also infected in Corona, did not come into contact with the driver, did she admit that she had stayed at the synagogue in Tiberias on Yom Kippur.
