In my previous application I was told that the applications for the "fixed expenses" grant for the business were closed in mid-August.

Has there been a change in interest following the recent plans?

Yes.

The program, which was originally open for applications until August 17, has been extended until November 15.

It is now also possible to submit applications for each of the months from March to June, in which there was a 25% decrease in business turnover, instead of 40% in the previous plan.

It is intended for the self-employed with an annual turnover of at least NIS 300,000 and no more than NIS 20 million per year.

In the case of companies, non-profit organizations and partnerships, the minimum turnover is NIS 18,000. It should be emphasized that these grants are subject to income tax and social security, like all income, but are exempt from VAT.

In other words, a receipt for these receipts and an invoice without VAT must be issued.

Has the deadline for submitting applications for employee incentive grants also been extended?

Employee return grants were extended from July to October 15, but June employee return grants were only available until the end of September, so no new claims can be opened for June.

It should be noted that the incentive grant is NIS 7,500 and is paid in four installments, to ensure that the employee is employed for at least four months from the date of his return to work.

For each month a new application must be submitted.

With regard to these grants, it is not necessary to show harm to the business following the crisis, it is intended for all employers, except government ministries and budgeted and supported bodies, as specified in the law.

Who is entitled to the "economic safety net" grant and is it possible to claim the NIS 7,500 a month?

Is it still possible to file lawsuits for the months of May and June?

For the months of May and June, claims for this grant can be submitted until November 25th.

For July and August, claims for this grant can be submitted until December 15th.

It is intended for the self-employed and controlling employees.

It is intended for those whose business turnover in 2018, or in 2019 (according to the plaintiff's choice), was at least NIS 8,568 and no more than NIS 651,600.

This grant will be given to a person whose business turnover has decreased by at least 40% in the defendant month, compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.

This grant will also be considered income for the purpose of calculating the tax liability, but no Social Security tax and of course no VAT will be paid for it.

What is the eligibility period for the participation grant in fixed expenses for businesses, and until when can claims be filed?

The grant is for the months of May this year until the end of June 2021. For May and June, claims can be filed until November 15, and for July and August, claims can be filed until December 15.

Can new businesses also benefit from the "fixed business expenses" grant?

Yes, even businesses that have only opened in the first two months of the current fiscal year can claim a share of the fixed expenses if they have recorded any decrease in business turnover in the claimed month, compared to January-February this year.

What is the amount of the monthly grant that will be given to a new business?

This is a grant of NIS 3,000 per month for an exempt dealer and up to NIS 4,000 per month for an authorized dealer.

In both cases, these are businesses with a minimum turnover of NIS 1,500 per month in January and February.

We hear that the compensation is for businesses whose turnover has decreased by 40% and sometimes even more than that and now 25% - what is the correct figure?

Compensation for businesses whose turnover has decreased by at least 25% as of September onwards.

Earlier, the assistance programs were intended for businesses whose turnover has decreased by at least 40%.

Businesses with a turnover of NIS 200-100 million were required to have a higher threshold, of 60% damage to turnover, and businesses with a turnover of up to NIS 400 million were required to prove an 80% decrease in their turnover.

The data were processed from data from the Tax Authority and a concentration of data from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants
